baba™ was built to fill a gap that most swimwear brands don't even see. In a market dominated by either fast fashion or overpriced resort names, the opportunity was to create a premium swimwear brand with real visual identity — one that works as well on TikTok as it does on a Shopify product page. From brand naming to visual system, from e-commerce build to content strategy, the goal was to launch a brand that could compete globally from day one — without the budget of a legacy label.

A saturated market with no clear identity.

Swimwear is one of the most competitive D2C categories globally. Hundreds of brands fight for the same TikTok audience with the same aesthetic, the same product shots, and the same generic messaging. The challenge wasn't making a bikini — it was making a brand worth following before a single product ships. We needed a name with no trademark conflicts, a domain available in .com, a visual system that works across US, Brazil and Europe, and a Shopify store built for conversion from the first day of traffic.

More than a swimwear label, baba™. A brand built to scale across markets, channels and formats — where identity, e-commerce and content are fully aligned from day one. The visual language works in black and white and in colour. The store converts. The content is built to be shot without a full production crew. baba™ launched with a complete brand identity, a Shopify storefront optimised for mobile and conversion, and a quarterly content model designed to keep output high without burning the founder out.
